Jack Stanley for CCSD School Board - District B

-- ABOUT ME --

Jack Scott Stanley

M.A. M.Div. Ed.S

5204 Sunray Lane Las Vegas NV 89130 8-- 850-812-9168

MY STORY

Having moved around the world and country, with each move struggling to find the best schooling available for my children, I have grown to appreciate the value of a top notch education system to recruit driven families, administrators, the best teachers, and businesses which results in the best possible students being placed into the local work force. Doing so will enrich and strengthen the economy, morale, living conditions, housing, and most importantly the jobs to keep them there.

Upon moving to Clark County from the UK I was able to be able to transfer my daughters IB program from the parent program in Oxford, England to Palo Verde's then new program where otherwise she would have been set back at least a year. Instead she was able to graduate with Palo's first International Baccalaureate

Diploma class.

Then, after being medically retired out of Nellis AFB, having endured the CCSD teacher hiring process the picture became even more clear to me why our county struggles to not just fill its teaching jobs, but also it's substitute positions. I believe fully in the concept that I have no right to exercise my privilege to criticize until and unless I first exercise my obligation to contribute. Being elected as the District B Trustee will set me loose to exercise my obligation to contribute, to continue to serve the community but using my skills, education, and experience as a problem solver, process improvement and conflict management specialist at every level of CCSD's obligation to serve families that are required to live here while attracting many others around the world who wish they could.

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
